Common Core Look-fors (CCL4s) is a great app for teachers integrating the Common Core State Standards into their classroom!

NEW: ELA CCSS Look-fors have been integrated into the app!
NEW: ISTE NETS.S! Copyright ISTE (iste.org) and used with permission.
NEW: Timeline: View the observed Look-fors as a function of time.

Purpose
CCL4s provides an interface for entering observation data as well as access to all the Content Standards for Mathematics K-12, English and Language Arts, and the ISTE NETS.S. The collected observation data can be shared via email or with our unique built-in instant meeting. The graphs are very interactive and allow observers to merge different observations to compare and contrast different teachers or the same teacher over time. Using the Timeline feature, observers can track the observed Look-fors through time.

Endorsements
Here are two statements from notable experts in the field of Mathematics Education and in the transition to and implementation of the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics.

"This app extends our work with Mathematics leaders by providing a tool that tracks the growth of a teachers transition to implementation of the Common Core State Standards. This is a tool for coaches and coaching. It provides for informal peer-observation, is a source for data analysis related to teaching and should be the cornerstone for reflective practice."

"CCL4s is a comprehensive tool designed to help teacher learning teams deepen their awareness and understanding of the actions and conditions that promote student engagement with the Common Core State Standards for Mathematical Practice, with connections to the K-8 and high school content standards. An exciting blend of creativity, innovation, and strategic technology use, this app will transform purposeful classroom observation through effective staff collaboration in U.S. schools."

Look-for Definition
A Look-for is a classroom observation tool that may be used as a non-evaluative assessment resource. The Look-fors in this peer-observation tool are designed to monitor and assess the extent to which students are engaged in particular elements of the Mathematical practices of the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics (CCSSO, 2010) and English and Language Arts. The tool provides suggested student responses for each of the Mathematical and English and Language Arts Practices as observational Look-fors. These should be helpful in providing suggestions related to both planning and assessment for teachers, content leaders, and school-based administrators.

Perfect
Quickly record observation data and report that data in real-time! Allows teachers to track their progress through the standards and tweet their success.
Mandatory for Math Teachers and Teacher Leaders
A mandatory app for K-12 teachers and teacher leaders who are serious about engaging in deep conversations about the Common Core Mathematics content standards and mathematical practices in their classrooms and schools.
Wow
Wow. This is an amazing app. I would love to see one for reading too. I wish I was smart enough to design an app for walk throughs. Thanks-
Common Core Look Fors
This is the first application of this type that we have seen. It seems to be a wonderful way to interact with peers (or simply gather information about your own classroom) around the Standards for Mathematical Practice in the Common Core State Standards. My colleagues and I had a bit of trouble getting started with the app, but we received quick and easy to follow support from the creators! It is so easy to use and to create simple graphs of the data you gather. We recommend only working on one or two of the Standards at a time, which makes using the tool even more managable.
I wish...
I wish this app was good, but it is not. Sorry.
